                                      The market is growing



                                      in Italy






                                      The Assalco-Zoomark Report was presented at the opening of
                                      Zoomark. The growth in sales of 8 per cent was characterised

                                      by large differences between sales channels.

                                                                                             per cent of overall sales (312 mio
                                                                                             euros), growth in value terms was
                                                                                             19.7 per cent as compared with
                                                                                             the previous year, while volume
                                                                                             growth came to 13.8 per cent.
                                                                                              With regard to the pet popula-
                                                                                             tion in Italy, the Assalco Report
                                                                                             uses the figures from Euromoni-
                                                                                             tor International. According to
