Anomurans
The first and fifth walking leg pairs end in claws. The first pair has large chelae, the fifth is always considerably
smaller and ends in tiny pincers. As a rule, you can usually only see the large chelipeds, followed by three
more walking leg pairs. The smaller leg pair with pincers is hidden away under the pleon or tail, which is
folded in half under the carapace.

Crabs
Here only the first walking leg pair is equipped with chelae, the remaining legs end in thorns. The pleon is
folded entirely under the carapace.
